Spring back into stitchingSpring back into stitching

in

I am now a mother of a 10 year old. I am now old.

It was supposed to be the month of stitching catch up, but I have to admit to being a bit slack. I've done two blocks of the How Bazaar, and I'm just about to start the last one, but winter has slowed me down a bit. It's hard to stitch in the mornings when your E.T. fingers are frozen solid and aching. Every mid year school holidays I swear to myself that we'll go somewhere hotter for holidays to get away from the misery that is Melbourne winter! It's the freezing wind...

Spencer has had glandular fever, there's been a reoccurence of crawly things in hair, and there have been birthday celebrations to take up stitching time as well. Spencer cheekily informed us we now have our own 'Ben10'. (It's a popular cartoon on TV- which I won't let the kids watch!) I've also got a bit of work to do on an upcoming website redesign, which is as boring as bat poo, but someone has to do it. It's not going to be the dragon.

So I've been writing text, writing pricelists and also writing pattern instructions. Then I've been doodling, as writing pattern instructions is brain straining, and I'm the sort of person who gets easily distracted... oh, look, facebook... Where was I? I've also been fiddling with my long term project of my children's book- just because I'm the queen of procrastination.

Coming up in the next few months- the pixie bag is almost finished (just those pesky instructions to go), then I've got to finish the pixie quilt major, start the dragon quilt (metallic fabric- yummy!) and there's some smaller stitchery projects to get done. I've also got to get moving on a stitchery bag for Homespun Magazine. So, without further ado, I shall say goodbye, and get back to work!

cheers

Natashia
