Cushion's done!

Phew! Made it. The birthday cushion is finished and wrapped, ready for the birthday boy to open next week. Hooray. I can remember drawing a picture for my mum when I was little and watching her stitch it onto a cushion for Grandma, so life does go full circle! Hopefully Benjamin will love having his very own 'Mummy's work' to keep.

If you'd like to do the same, photocopy or scan the art, and then size it up or down to fit on your space, trace on white fabric and stitch away. I also added wadding underneath so that there was a bit of texture to the stitching. You can make simple bags, aprons, cushions (even quilts if your little one is extra prolific) as a very special keepsake in this way.

RIghto, now it's on to finishing the peacock quilt. Fun!
